Dear Parents, carers, community members, staff and students of Pia Wadjarri Community.
Thankyou to all those who attended our final year assembly yesterday and then joined our students to share in a delicious Christmas Feast prepared by our senior girls and Miss Lulu and Miss Melissa.
Congratulations to all our students who received rewards at the assembly; you have worked hard throughout 2021 to make great gains in your personal and academic achievements.
Well done to all students, but special awards went to the following students:
Thankyou to our amazing staff here at Pia Wadjarri who consistently go above and beyond to create the best learning opportunities for our students. Their dedication and caring helps to create a warm and inviting learning environment for all students who attend our school here in Pia.
Thankyou to our families who support their children to be the best they can be. The support in getting your children to school regularly and supporting all aspects of their learning programme has ensured that 2021 has again produced some excellent academic and social gains for students across the school.
Thankyou to our School Council for being committed to ensuring we have quality governance and direction for our school community. Ms Julie Ryan, Council Chairperson has led our Council to meet regularly and to support the school to continue to develop its Cultural Responsiveness, and to focus on the identified needs of our students.
Last but not least - thankyou to our wonderful Pia Wadjarri students who bring with them a smile and contagious enthusiasm everyday they walk through the school gate. You bring sunshine to the school, a thirst for learning and a keenness to share your local knowledge with those around you. You continue to inspire your teachers everyday.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Stay safe, enjoy your time with family and we look forward to all students returning to school on Monday January 31st 2022.
